ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Today, the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) announced the release of a customizable recruitment video, which will serve as a tool to help beer distribution companies attract potential employees. Beer distributors help maintain a steady supply of a variety of beer and beverages for America’s consumers and are experts in logistics and transportation. But as the country faces supply chain challenges and a national worker shortage, the beer distribution industry is no exception. Distributors are struggling to hire the workers needed to safely keep the supply of beer and beverages moving across the country.

“I am excited to present this creative and inspiring recruitment tool to our members as they look to attract new hires amidst a nationwide labor shortage. Beer distribution companies offer competitive wages and benefits, opportunities for growth and security, as well as the chance to work in a fun, collaborative and rewarding environment,” remarked NBWA President & CEO Craig Purser. “Many of the employees featured in the video have worked with distributors for ten or even twenty years, achieving significant career growth in the industry. I’m proud that we’re able to help our members tell the story of the beer distribution industry and the strong career opportunities it provides.”

Beer distribution companies offer employees good jobs and exceptional benefits. Moreover, these companies have a wide array of positions available and employee growth opportunities. The recruitment video is intended to help job seekers learn more about the beer distribution industry and the working environment at these facilities. The video can be used by beer distributors at job fairs, high school or vocational school presentations and on social media. Distributors even have the option to customize the video to include their company’s specific logo, career website and QR code. Male and female voiceovers, as well as Spanish-language options are also available to distributors. NBWA is providing members with guidance on best practices for customization, as well as tips on how to create their own in-house videos.

“We frequently hear from our members about the challenges of recruiting employees. It has become harder to get many applicants knocking on the doors of beer distributors –they need to be more proactive to find the right employees. NBWA is proud to support beer distribution companies as they cope with continued workforce shortages,” said Purser.

This video is the first in a series of recruitment videos that NBWA is planning to help its membership attract new workers. The recruitment video can be viewed here.

The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) represents America’s 3,000 independent beer distributors who service every state, congressional district and media market across the country. Licensed at the federal and state levels, beer distributors get bottles, cans, cases and kegs from a brewer or importer to stores, restaurants and other licensed retail accounts through a transparent and accountable regulatory system. Distributors build brands of all sizes – from familiar domestic beers to new startup labels and imports from around the world – and generate enormous consumer choice while supporting more than 140,000 quality jobs in their home communities. Beer distributors work locally to keep communities safe by sponsoring programs to promote responsible consumption, combat drunk driving and reduce underage drinking.
