NBWA CEO Craig Purser’s Statement on the Retirement of Bob Pease
Today, NBWA President and CEO Craig Purser issued the following statement on the retirement of Brewers Association President and CEO Bob Pease:
“Cheers and congratulations to Bob Pease as he announces his plans to retire after 32 years of service to America’s craft brewers. Bob has been a tireless advocate for his members and a strong partner for the entire beer industry, advocating for independent brewers and understanding the value of independent beer distribution.
Bob’s leadership was instrumental in reducing the federal excise tax on beer, wine and spirits — a significant accomplishment to support the industry. And while brewers and distributors sometimes differ on public policy, Bob embodied the advice of the late Henry King, to be able to ‘disagree without being disagreeable.’”
