Chairman James Comer

NBWA is honored to welcome Rep. James Comer (KY-01), Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, as a keynote speaker at our 2026 Legislative Conference.

Under Chairman Comer’s leadership, the committee worked to ensure the recent Dietary Guidelines review process was free from bias — affirming NBWA member concerns about efforts by anti-alcohol activists to influence the results. He has also championed pro-business policies, including last year’s historic tax bill and has been a key ally on issues related to state-based alcohol regulation

Chairman Comer is a small business owner who has represented Western Kentucky in Congress since 2017. In 2023, he became Chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee. In this role he leads efforts to ensure the efficiency and accountability of the federal government.

His policy priorities include building on the success of tax reform legislation and promoting greater government transparency.

The fourth annual BREW Leadership Forum (April 20, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.) in Washington, D.C. will deliver key takeaways to benefit your career, company and women across the beer and beverage distribution industry — whether you are an owner, senior leader or emerging leader. Expect inspiring and motivational speakers, unique tools and techniques to support women in our industry and build a pathway to positive business impacts and numerous opportunities to brainstorm and build connections with fellow attendees.

This event takes place during NBWA’s Legislative Conference (April 19-22). You can register for the standalone BREW Leadership Forum or for both events at a discounted rate.
