Wine and spirits sales have declined by 6% in the year through August 2024. Following a trend that has accelerated post-COVID, this year has seen an 8% drop in wine sales and a 3.9% decrease in spirits, with the premium ($100-plus) segment particularly hard-hit in the on-premise channel.
