New Congressionally-Funded Report Maintains Benefits of Moderate Drinking
A new report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM), part of the 2025-2030 Dietary Guidelines review process, states that moderate alcohol consumption may reduce the risk of all-cause mortality and cardiovascular disease, in contrast to the World Health Organization’s stance that no level of alcohol is safe.
