Washington Times: Respect Congress’ Mandate on Dietary Guidelines

After over 100 lawmakers expressed concern about a controversial new panel overseeing alcohol consumption guidelines, the Washington Times writes that “Congress tasked NASEM with this work for a reason, which was to provide an unbiased, comprehensive report on alcohol that serves public health and maintains public confidence in the findings. HHS should suspend this study for the good of adult consumers and out of respect for the role of Congress in funding said research with taxpayer dollars.”
