Silver Eagle Distributors awards $148,500 in educational scholarships

Texas-based Silver Eagle Distributors recently awarded educational scholarships to 33 family members of its employees for the 2019-2020 academic school year. The Silver Eagle Scholarship Program encourages higher education by awarding up to $4,500 per academic year for educational expenses for the dependents of its employees. To date, the program has awarded more than $1,500,000 in scholarships.

For the ’19-’20 school year, there are 24 returning scholarship recipients and nine new awardees. The recipients were recently recognized by John L. Nau, III, chairman and CEO of Silver Eagle Distributors, L.P., at a reception held at Silver Eagle’s San Antonio corporate office.

“Silver Eagle is proud to have the opportunity to provide our employees with a program that assists their children in achieving their goals of higher education,” said Nau. “I commend these students for their hard work and perseverance and wish them all great success in their educational endeavors.”

The Silver Eagle Scholarship Program is administered by the Greater Houston Community Foundation, which allows qualified applicants to submit scholarship applications seamlessly through an online application and award process portal. The program also offers scholarship recipient families access to SUCCESS Resources – a 24-hours a day, free assistance program to help students and parents work through educational challenges, including: transitioning from high school to college, time management, overcoming relationships and family conflicts, dealing with stress and depression, legal questions or concerns, alcohol or drug-related problems, and more.
