Legal cannabis usage among men and young adults may be decreasing their alcohol consumption, according to new research. Studies show anywhere from a quarter to nearly half of legal cannabis users are drinking less alcohol, and “[C]annabis consumers are significantly more likely to prefer beer (exposing beer to the greatest risk) vs. non-cannabis consumers,” noted researcher Nadine Sarwat of Bernstein.
