Beer Distributors Navigate Rising Healthcare Costs
One topic on many NBWA members’ minds is the rising cost of employee healthcare coverage. Premiums continue to climb, making it critical for distributors to explore strategies to manage these expenses while maintaining quality benefits for employees.
According to a KFF study, the average employer-sponsored family insurance plan now exceeds $24,000 annually, up 50% in the last decade.
America’s beer and beverage distributors continue to see rising premiums. In December 2025, NBWA members reported:
- 7.85% group health plan insurance premiums increase for 2025
- 6.83% group health plan insurance premiums increase for 2026
