Statement on Charlie Papazian’s Retirement from the Brewers Association

Alexandria, Va. – Following the announcement that Brewers Association Founder and Past President Charlie Papazian will retire on January 23, 2019, National Beer Wholesalers Association President & CEO Craig Purser issued the following statement:
“On behalf of the National Beer Wholesalers Association, I congratulate Charlie on his many years of service and dedication to the beer industry. For more than 40 years, Charlie has been a steadfast advocate for craft and home-brewers alike, helping to guide and grow the Brewers Association. Charlie has been a great ambassador for beer and his impact on the entire industry will be felt for years to come. I have enjoyed working with Charlie and wish him all the best in his retirement.
