Beer Distributors Support Texas Relief Efforts
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Beer distributors are mobilizing to help Central Texas recover from last weekend’s devastating floods.
As the region begins its long recovery process, the Independent Beer Distributors Relief Fund (IBDRF) is stepping up to help. Distributors from across the country have been calling, pledging support, and NBWA will also be making a direct contribution.
NBWA members in Texas launched into action this week to deliver urgently needed supplies and aid recovery efforts, including:
- KEG 1 O’Neal delivered 50,000 cans of water to affected areas
- Brown Distributing is coordinating water delivery with Travis and Williamson County Emergency Management offices
- Ben E. Keith Beverages is providing ongoing water and hydration drink donations and preparing onsite meals for rescue crews
- Andrews Distributing and Giglio Distributing helped fund on-the-ground relief efforts
Support from distributors from across the state is ongoing. NBWA will continue to highlight these efforts as the recovery continues.
The Independent Beer Distributors Relief Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation started by beer distributors to assist disaster recovery efforts.The fund was organized by Texas WBDT members following Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. It has made relief contributions from Florida to California, providing cash and in-kind contributions of over $2 million since 2017. The fund most recently aided relief efforts in North Carolina following Hurricane Helene in 2024. This long-term support system stands ready to help those impacted by this and future disasters.
