The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) has withdrawn a rule that would have required “disclosure of per-serving alcohol, calorie, and nutrient content information in an “Alcohol Facts” statement” on malt-based alcohol beverages, as well as wines and distilled spirits.
Another proposed rule related to major food allergens labeling disclosures (covering milk, eggs, fish, Crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, wheat, peanuts, soybeans, and sesame) is still active with a comment period ending April 17.
