WA: Malting facility will open in state, to the joy of Northwest beer brewers
Microbreweries across the nation may soon be looking to Skagit Valley for one all-important ingredient needed for their varieties of beer: malt. A partnership among entrepreneurs, grain researchers, local farmers and the Port of Skagit will bring Skagit Valley Malting to Burlington, Washington, early next year.
