NC: Henderson Co. board expected to ask for referendum on allowing alcohol sales across county
Voters in Henderson County, North Carolina, will soon have their first chance since 1955 to decide whether alcohol should be sold everywhere, or whether some parts of the county should stay dry. County commissioners are expected to formally ask for an alcohol sales referendum that they agreed to last summer, which would ask voters to decide separately on beer and wine sales, liquor sales at ABC stores and liquor sales by the drink in restaurants.
