Why YOU Need to Attend the 2010 Legislative Conference

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

Now is the time for America’s beer distributors to start planning who from their warehouse will be traveling to Washington, D.C., for the 2010 Legislative Conference.  Mark your calendars to be on Capitol Hill Sunday, April 18, through Wednesday, April 21

Click here to view a special video message about the 2010 Legislative Conference from NBWA President Craig Purser and Executive Vice President Mike Johnson.

This year, distributors are encouraged to bring warehouse employees who have never been to Washington, D.C. – perhaps a longtime truck driver or a stand-out sales representative.  They are the best voices to describe the solid jobs, wages and benefits that beer distributors offer from coast to coast.  Members of Congress are eager to hear good stories about fulfilling jobs in this current environment, especially from their constituents.

All distributors should plan to attend this year’s Conference to personally educate members of Congress about the importance of state-based alcohol regulation and the vital role of beer distributors.

The conveniently-located Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill is the official hotel for the 2010 Legislative Conference.  The NBWA participant room rate is $289 single/double per night.  The NBWA guest room block expires March 19; however, the room block can sell out prior to that date.  Call the Hyatt Regency Reservation Department at 202-737-1234 or click here to reserve your room today!

Register now for the 2010 Legislative Conference! A tentative schedule of events is now available.  Speaker details and further updates will follow.
